Research Placement Student Bursaries
Are you interested in providing a small scale research placement for one of your students?
For the first time, ASET is offering TWO research student placement bursaries for summer 2012. Proposals are invited from ASET member institutions for the funding of an undergraduate/recent graduate to carry out a small scale piece of research related to work based and placement learing. Institutions are required to define the scope of the research, which can have a local context, but must also relate to the wider HE sector and make the final dissemination of interest to a wider audience.
ASET will provide a bursary of £1500 for the undergraduate/recent graduate, to carry out the research and a further £500 towards the expenses required to carry out the project will be awarded to the institution upon successful completion of the project. The successful institution must provide a workspace and supervision for the student during the research placement, and oversee the dissemination of the final report. ASET is keen to support the furthering of research into the practice of work based and placement learning and see this bursary scheme as an innovative way forward in meeting this agenda.
