After more than ten years as a Trustee, and five years as Chair, Francesca Walker-Martin is stepping down from the ASET Board.

Fran has served with dedication and commitment, steering ASET through the challenge of the Covid years, and more recently championing the Pilotlight project. Her contribution will be felt for years to come as ASET builds on the solid foundations she has helped to secure. We are immensely grateful for her leadership and guidance which has been instrumental to the progression of ASET as an organisation, and we are certain you will join us as we express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation.

From February 5th, Lou Taylor-Murison, Head of Apprenticeships & Partnership-based Learning at Keele University, who has served as Vice Chair since 2023, takes on the role of Acting Chair for ASET.

To support Lou, Sam McKinstrie, Placement Development Lead and Graduate Apprenticeship Mentor Consultant at Robert Gordon University, has been elected by the board as Vice Chair.

We’re delighted to welcome both to their new roles and look forward to working with them to support our ASET community, deliver our values as an organisation, and to meet our social objectives.

Student Competition Winners Announcement

Thank-you to all our 2024 student competition entrants and their ASET member supporters.

The successful winner will receive £400 with two highly commended runners up each receiving £100.

Results of our latest Student Competition will be notified in March 2025.
