The ASET Executive Committee is supported by a small staff team managed from the ASET Offices in Sheffield.

Debbie runs the ASET office and manages the organisation’s operations. She has been with ASET since 2009 having previously worked in retail head office management and in recruitment.

Anna supports Debbie in the delivery of ASET’s strategic goals and leads on a number of key projects. She joined the staff team in September 2022 as ASET’s Professional Development Engagement Manager, supporting and delivering training. A qualified Careers Consultant, she previously worked in placement and project roles at member institutions in the North.

Seamus joined the staff team in July 2025 and works closely with the Trustees to design, develop and deliver our training programme. Prior to joining the ASET staff team, he worked at Ulster University supporting academic quality and student experience by providing training and professional consultation to academic and senior management. He also served as an ASET trustee from 2020 – 2024.

A creative individual with a strong background in membership communications and marketing, Maryrose joined the team in November 2025 and manages our communications. Maryrose writes our newsletters, plans targeted campaigns and manages our social media with support from the ASET Membership and Communications Specialist Group.

Janet works alongside Debbie in the office assisting with all aspects of administration, and with a key focus on Membership and Events.
