Are you looking for a scalable and sustainable placement model for the design and delivery of online work based learning placements?
This new ASET workshop will introduce participants to the design and delivery principles of the Peer Enhanced E-Placement (PEEP) model, which is delivered online, based on online and peer learning pedagogy. The PEEP offers a possible alternative to traditional in-person work based learning placements.
The PEEP model was developed during the pandemic for occupational therapy students and is being adapted and adopted by many health professions as an alternative and complementary option for part of existing 1-1 in person work based learning placement portfolios. ASET trustee Professor Lisa Taylor created the PEEP model and has worked in partnership with Professor Gilly Salmon since, to develop PEEP into a sustainable work based learning placement model.
Lisa will lead the workshop and guide participants through the design and delivery principles for the PEEP model. To date the PEEP model has been applied predominantly within healthcare degree programmes but the principles are applicable across the higher education sector. Delegates will explore and consider the potential wider applications of this scalable and sustainable placement model for the design and delivery of online work based learning placements across the higher education sector.
