Professor Lisa Taylor

Lisa is passionate about employability and learning innovation – including work-based learning placement innovation. Lisa created the award-winning online work-based learning placement model Peer Enhanced e-Placement (PEEP).

Lisa was awarded a prestigious National Teaching Fellowship based on her sustained ability to facilitate and influence quality student learning, supporting and developing the wider employability agenda through engaging with colleagues locally, nationally and internationally, impacting on student learning outcomes and experience, through teaching, strategic initiatives and learning innovations. Such an award provides endorsement for Lisa’s experiences to date and positions her as a sector leader in employability and learning innovations.

Lisa has been a member on national placement related committees and working groups – influencing the placement landscape for higher education within the health and social care professions, and has recently authored a book – Taylor L (2023) Constructing Online Work-Based Learning Placements: Approaches to Pedagogy, Design, Planning and Implementation Routledge.

Lisa’s professional education includes: 2021 Awarded Advance HE National Teaching Fellowship; 2019 Awarded University Teaching Fellowship; 2017 Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy – The Higher Education Academy; 2012 Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice – The Higher Education Academy; 2006 PhD University of East Anglia; 1998 MSc (Health Sciences) University of East Anglia; 1995 BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy University of East Anglia.

Lisa was voted onto the ASET executive at ASET’s AGM in September 2023 after previously serving as a co-opt.
