Charity Status

We are a charity, with our Board of Trustees drawn from practitioners in UK Higher Education Institutions. Trustees are elected by the membership and give their time on a voluntary basis. We run from a small office based in Sheffield at the Burton Street Foundation and operate on a not-for-profit basis. If you contact the office you’ll speak to Debbie Siva-Jothy, our Chief Operating Officer, who takes responsibility for all operational business.

All surplus income is used to provide services to members, to support students and to further the aims of our organisation. We report annually to the Charity Commission, and our registered charity number is 285104.
