Coaching Skills for Pre-Placement

Coaching skills and strategies can be effective across much of the placement cycle – but particularly in placement preparation, to build rapport with students and boost engagement with external partners.

This workshop will focus on key aspects of coaching such as building strong relationships through curiosity and listening well, combined with a focus on being purposeful through powerful questioning and action planning. Participants will be presented with styles and approaches for developing practice plus coaching tools and techniques. 

This workshop is designed to develop and enhance coaching skills to complement your current approach.  You will be challenged to consider how coaching could benefit your activities.
