Placement Learning through Freelancing and Entrepreneurship

Do you have students who are expressing an interest in setting up and running their own businesses for their placement? Maybe they are already freelancing/operating a business alongside their studies and want to expand upon this for their placement?

This Workshop is a development of the Freelancers, Entrepreneurs, Enterprise Placements (FEEP) including new developments in assessing student achievement. As student expectations and the labour market for students and graduates changes, enterprise and start-ups might be just the initiative you need to expand your placement offer.

This interactive workshop will highlight some of the key points to be taken into account when approving and assessing these types of placements. We will showcase Higher Education provider support that fosters success for placement student entrepreneurs.

Our facilitators will encourage discussion, dialogue and networking, as well as the exchange of ideas and good practice.
