Placements and work based learning opportunities can be extremely attractive to our international cohort, within this workshop we will consider how to effectively manage your offer by exploring approaches and solutions for some of the common challenges that may be faced by placement practitioners, students and placement partners.

Within this workshop we will consider the specific needs of international students and compare how these might vary from the needs of home students. Delegates will be encouraged to review the monitoring and placement support processes and mechanisms currently in place within their institution. We will discuss challenges arising from relevant contemporary issues e.g. visas, post-Brexit, remote working, economic factors etc and identify ways in which to engage employers and encourage workforce diversification in order to benefit our incoming international market.
