Clodagh Kerr

Clodagh is currently Work-integrated Learning (WIL) Lead at University College Cork, Ireland. This is a new role in the university which has been created to spearhead the development of an inclusive, cohesive, and flexible approach to work-based learning, guided by student feedback and robust employer partnerships.

Clodagh has worked in the higher education sector since 2006 and spent several years working as a placement manager for the College of Science, Engineering & Food Science, working closely with students at undergraduate and postgraduate level securing placements as part of their programme of study. Clodagh’s strengths lie in connecting networks, identifying opportunities, and negotiating and collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds, recognising the importance of relationship management with partner organisations and its contribution towards students’ success in transitioning through and out of university. A recent example of this is Clodagh’s involvement in the development of a new careers Alumni Mentoring programme which connects students with alumni offering valuable connections, conversations and professional growth and development.

Clodagh joined the board at the ASET AGM in 2025 having been an ASET Associate since 2024. She is keen to share her experience and passion for work-based and experiential learning with the ASET community.
