Hannah Bright-Wood

Co-opted Trustee

Hannah is a Work Based Learning Advisor in the School of Science and Technology at City St George’s University of London. This role focuses on preparing students for successful careers and is achieved through designing, leading, teaching and assessing accredited employability modules; supporting students to gain industry experience through internships, placements and project opportunities; assessing and supporting students on industrial placements; and leading a range of employability enhancing events.

Having worked in a variety of roles within Higher Education over the past 20 years Hannah has over ten years’ experience of designing and delivering embedded employability modules, from the module application stage through to delivering the module in the classroom. She also have extensive experience of designing innovative assessments and assessing employability modules.

Hannah holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice which helps shape her understanding of teaching and learning in a Higher Education environment, she mentors new staff and has worked in an advisory role across 2 schools at City in order to share best practice regarding employability in the curriculum.
