Currently an Associate Professor at Durham University, Litka has led initiatives to enhance student learning through innovative teaching methods and curriculum design. With extensive experience as an EDI advocate she has an ability to foster engagement, inclusivity, and academic success within diverse student populations. With a passion for advancing experiential learning and a commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable educational opportunities Litka is keen to drive impactful change with informed and research-led practice.
Litka brings to the ASET board an expertise in equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) within education and research, with a focus on decolonising the science curricula and fostering inclusive practices. Her interest lies in advancing Work-Based and Placement Learning (WBPL) through innovative pedagogical approaches, research dissemination, and collaborative initiatives that enhance student engagement and graduate employability. As an EPSRC EDI+ Fellow and Science Faculty Decolonising Lead, she has developed strategies to address systemic inequalities and promote diverse perspectives. Litka is passionate about leveraging this experience to support ASET’s mission of delivering high-quality experiential learning opportunities for all students.
