Lou is the Head of Apprenticeships & Partnership-based Learning at Keele University. She leads on Apprenticeships at Keele and is developing placement and work-based learning as a broader experiential learning offer.

Lou is a Senior Fellow of the HEA and has worked on a varied portfolio of Higher Education projects encompassing blended and e-learning, Curriculum Innovation, Student Finance and Widening Participation.

Lou was voted ASET Chair at AGM in September 2025 having served as Acting Chair since February 2025 and previously served as Vice Chair.
