Sam is the Placement Development Lead and Graduate Apprenticeship Mentor Consultant at Robert Gordon University’s Centre for Employability and Community Engagement, supporting students, schools, and organisations in delivering work based learning programmes.
Experienced in designing, delivering, and supporting assessed work placements and consultancy projects for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the UK and overseas, he co-convenes the university’s work integrated learning group. As the graduate apprenticeship mentor consultant, he leads the support and development of the organisation mentors on the university’s apprenticeship programmes.
Sam is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Sam joined the ASET board in 2023, he co-leads the Membership and Communications Specialist Group and has been ASET’s Vice Chair since February 2025.
